Pet Caregiver Positions Available (Metro Washington DC Area)

SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Pet Caregiver position is to provide dog walking and pet sitting service to out clients. This includes VIP walks (walks on a daily basis for the same client), on-call walks, bed & breakfast (when applicable) and overnight stays. The Pet Caregiver position is the main face of the company to the client.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide dog walking and pet sitting services on a daily (VIP) or on-call basis.

• Responsible for maintaining a “Daily Diary” that summarizes the events of each visit.

• Attends various pet-related community events that KbK participates in throughout the year.

• Always wears company apparel when on the job.

• Report differences in pet behavior to the office immediately.

• Brings in newspapers, waters plants, turn on houselights, takes out trash and other miscellaneous housekeeping tasks (dependent on the client preferences).

• Leave client’s home in the same or better cleanliness level as found.

• Defer all communications with the client with respect to contract, billing and appointment matters to the office.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Software; Payroll Systems; and Word Processing Software.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
